A wedding gown and bridesmaid dress from Bebe’s new bridal collection
Bebe surprised more than a few people back in December when the brandannounced that it would be doing a bridal line—after all, it’s a store better known for body-con minidresses than than virginal gowns. So there was a certain amount of speculation on just what Bebe bridal would look like. The wait is over, however, because now the collection has arrived online and in four flagships (Chicago, New York, Florida, and Beverly Hills) in all its glory.
With draper extraordinaire Rami Kashou on board to design the line, customers appear to be responsive. “On Facebook, we’ve never had a bigger response to any item or launch,” Bebe Stores Inc. president Emilia Fabricant told WWD. “There were 17,000 likes on Facebook within the first 48 hours, 700 shares and 400 comments.”
